The Journey, Part I
Sometimes we have to look at where we've come from and evaluate ourselves and where we want our careers to go. This was my first major project in LA and I beat out thousands of girls for this role. Why? Because I did not play a stereotype, I played a real human being with thoughts, feelings and emotions, who just happened to live in a certain environment. I played a character, not a characterization. Training teaches you the difference!
This was a major accomplishment and I am so greatful to have had this opportunity while in LA. Onward and Upward!
Becoming an actor is about evolving. Taking life experiences, observing people, and utilizing every experience whether good or bad to create characters. I can honestly say I have been true to my training and really done the work every time I step on the set. Always being professional and prepared makes people call you back for more opportunities. This is especially important in a small town like Atlanta.

Standard Headshot
This is an example of an Industry Standard Theatrical Headshot. It is usually a serious pose. This particular headshot says rebellious teen or bad girl. When choosing a particular headshot it is important to know your type. What types of roles will you be considered for? Will you take control of your career, or let others do it for you? You are creating a specific brand for yourself. What is your brand?

How to get an Agent
The first thing every actor learns when trying to pursue an acting career is that in order to get legitimate paid work, you must have a agent. Getting one is a task that takes some actor so many years. In order to get an agent, you must have worked, and in order to get work, you need an agent. So... where do you begin. That's where the expression "paying your dues" comes in. Take classes, network, do plays at local schools, church, student films, any work to gain experience and build a resume. Once you have a headshot and continue building your resume, you can begin your search for an agent. Standard procedure is to mail it in to every agent until one is interested, easier said than done. This industry is not for the easily discouraged. Just KEEP TRYING!!! For starters,go to http://www.sag.org/ for a listing of legitimate agents in your area.

THE MAKING OF DALLAS REALITY SHOW -" MAKING A VIDEO"
My First RnB Video with New singer, Dallas. It was such a great experience and the director, and everyone kept comparing my acting to the one and only Angela Basset. Something I am so honored when I hear. I would love to play her daughter or younger sister. Just act opposite her.
Dalas is an Amazing talent and he kept gassing me up, lol. This song is a future hit!
Overall it was a great experience!

Busy Busy Week!
What a week!!. Sinners, my short film, is almost complete. And I just shot My First Talk Show, "People of Today" Live and in living color. It was sooo exciting and I got the opportunity to introduce some new artists and get them and myself some exposure. It was just the pilot episode and it aired online first at http://www.waen.tv/, over 300 people tuned in to the live broadcast, online and the network is extremely excited about it. It will air in ATL channel 24 in about two weeks, but for now it can be seen on http://www.lantawoodtv.com/. Yesterday I had an amazing shoot, here's one of my favorite pics, no retouching at all! But Hosting my ow talk show was a rollercoaster ride, and being able to introduce new talent was priceless. I think I may have found another calling!
But with every blessing, and the more The Lord enlarges my territory, the more I get to see who my true friends are. That green eyed monster of envy shows its face sometimes in the most surprising places. Oh well, its lonely at the top. I'd rather keep the small circle around me than th fake people who mean me no good, and Im glad God is removing them from my life.

Taking Control!
It was a very productive weekend. I shot my horror short with Gary Lynch Productions and started rehearsing for my talk show. I am also in talks to start writing my ideal script and even learning how to produce. God is really beginning to reveal some things to me and why it has taken so long for things happen. I am meant to be a leader, to make things happen, and to give back when I attain a position which allows me to create opportunities for others.
Its about to get really crazy!

The Unfortunate Truth about Atlanta projects
Since living in Atlanta, I have done the majority of my work, most of which Iwill never see again. Sometimes I think that once I do become a household name, all of these projects will come out of the woodworks. You CAN work here, but you must be wise to work with people and get a promise to have your footage sent to you IN WRITING. I have so many projects that have just been put on a backburner somewhere. It is so frustrating to not only be unable to see the fruits of your labor, but not be able to share with your family.
The First Chapter
This is my first official blog, and I am sooo excited to bring the world in on my grind as an actress in Atlanta. It has been an eventful week for me, to say the least, just got back from a road trip saw my family and made stops at just about every landmark up the east coast along the way, pics following. It really grounded me and made me realize what I need to do. Thats what family is for though, and I love mine. This week is going to be a busy week in this new chapter, I will be hosting a talk show on ATL 24 with live streaming on WAEN.org. Also excited about my first Horror movie called Sinners, which I will be shooting this weekend. And I'm taking you on this ride with me. Are you Ready?!?!
